Where leads come from
AI Lead Generation finds people who match a campaign's targeting and adds them to your contacts. Leads are always bought for a campaign: its saved targeting decides who to look for.
There are three ways to start a purchase:
- Contacts ▸ Source contacts — pick a campaign, adjust its filters for this purchase only if you like, and set a contact count target. The target is a ceiling: results may be fewer.
- The Source more contacts card on a campaign's AI Lead Rating tab, with a recommended count already filled in.
- The AI tab — ask the AI and it prepares the same purchase as a card in the chat.
With autopilot switched on, Boostie also tops up leads for your active campaigns by itself, within the monthly limit you confirmed. See How billing works.
You see the cost before anything is bought
Every purchase shows an itemized estimate first: the contacts requested, the cost of sourcing them, the cost of checking their email addresses, and the total. Getting an estimate is free. Your wallet is charged only when you click Confirm & source — in the chat too, where the AI can prepare a purchase but only your click confirms it.
When a purchase finishes, you pay for the leads that actually arrived (up to what you asked for) and the email checks that were actually needed. The rest of the estimate goes back to your wallet. Prices are on the pricing page.
Email checking before sending
After the leads arrive, their email addresses are checked. An address checked in the last 30 days isn't checked or charged again. Addresses found to be invalid, a spam trap, abusive or do-not-mail are never sent to, and a lead whose address later turns bad is dropped before sending.
Rating starts as soon as the leads arrive. Writing emails waits until checking is done.
Rating decides who gets an email
Every lead in a campaign gets a score from 0 to 100 against the campaign's rubric. Only leads at or above the campaign's threshold get an email; the rest are set aside. You can move the threshold with the slider on the AI Lead Rating tab, and leads that already have a score are re-sorted at no charge.
Where your leads live
Every lead you buy is in Contacts, where any of your campaigns can rate and use it. A campaign's own leads, with their scores and status, are on its Leads tab. Domains you never want to email go on the Blocked tab in Contacts.
Leads you bought are yours. If the same person's data is refreshed later, you get the update at no charge.
Keeping data fresh
People change jobs, so lead data ages. Each contact shows its age: Refresh recommended once its data is three months old, and Data over 6 months old at six months. Treat them as a prompt to review older leads.
